Pets in the Workplace

Policy

While it is recognized that many pets are well behaved and are important members of some families, it is also known that many people suffer animal-related allergies and fears which could cause interference with the ability to work or study. Therefore, Loyola University New Orleans does not allow pet animals in any University buildings, with the exception of service animals (seeing-eye or hearing-ear dogs).

Loyola also strongly discourages the presence of pets on the campus grounds, due to safety and sanitation concerns. Pets are not permitted at Loyola events except at outdoor events sponsored solely by the University as approved by the President.
