Off Campus Armed Robbery Uptown

Tulane University received information from NOPD today that at approximately 2:35 am this morning, September 9, a Tulane graduate student and a non-affiliate were walking home in the 7500 block of Hampson Street when they were approached by a black male with a black gun.  After the subject demanded and received the victims’ money, he fled in a vehicle with another black male down Hillary St. toward St. Charles Ave.

The victims described the suspects as follows:

#1 Male, black, with a brown complexion, 5’6” to 5’7”, stocky build, late to mid 20’s, wearing a black tee shirt with white writing, black jeans, and a black baseball cap with white writing on the front. The victims could not describe the second subject.

Descriptions provided by victim/witness. Information about the race or ethnicity of alleged offenders is provided only to aid detailed descriptions that include physical stature, clothing or unusual characteristics. Racial descriptions do not, by themselves, offer a meaningful picture of an individual's appearance.
