Sexual Assault reported - Loyola University New Orleans Main Campus

On Friday, February 15, 2013 at approximately 4:12am a Loyola student reported she was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance on Loyola University Campus in the stairwell of the Freret Street Garage.  The suspect has been identified by the victim and New Orleans Police is handling the investigation. Please be advised of the following crime prevention tips:
 
Safety Tips:

-Stop, Ask, Clarify

-Trust your instincts and feelings

-You always have the right to change your mind

-Know your limits and observe them, alcohol and drugs impair everyone’s perception and judgment

-Consent means having the ability to make a decision.   An intoxicated person cannot give consent.

-Use a buddy system when you go to parties-go and leave with the same group

-Everyone’s right to say ‘no’ should be honored, regardless of the activity which preceded it
