On October 23, 2012, at 8:02 P.M, victim was traveling in a downtown direction in the 5800 block of Clara St. from State Street. While doing so, the victim observed an unidentified black male walking in the 5800 block of Clara Street, in an uptown direction, on the lakeside sidewalk.
The victim stated that has the vehicle pulled into a driveway of the 5800 block of Clara Street. Victim stated upon exiting the vehicle the above mentioned male approached the vehicle and displayed a small, dark colored handgun and demanded for the victim's property. Victim attempted to pull the driver's side door shut, however attempts were met with negative results because the suspect grabbed the door with his left hand and held the vehicle's door open. Victim complied with the suspect's demands and surrendered property. After the victim surrendered the property, the suspect fled the scene on foot, in a downtown direction on Clara Street.
The victim described the subject as a tall, thin black male, with short dread locks, who was wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt, and dark colored pants.
Officers canvassed the area for the suspect, but was met with negative results.
Crime lab lifted two partial latent prints from the scene.
