Energy conservation request

To: The Loyola Community
From: Paul C. Fleming, Assistant Vice President for Administration

I am sure most of you know only too well how significantly utility costs impact your household budget. When these costs are applied to the vast quantities of energy consumed on a university campus, the numbers are enormous. We have every reason to believe that rates will continue to increase in the foreseeable future.
I know that nearly everyone at Loyola strives to be a responsible consumer of resources at all times, but I would ask each of you to continue to be diligent in your energy conservation efforts. Seemingly small measures, like turning off the lights when you leave a room and using the energy-saving settings available on most modern office equipment, will make a big difference if we all put forth just a bit of extra effort.
Your cooperation in this matter is sincerely appreciated, and I thank you in advance for your assistance. Read our statement on environmental responsibility »
